DON'T WANT TO BE ANOREXIC.

Read below first ☺
My name's Kasia. I'm a 17 year old girl in recovery who's recovered from Anorexia. I've had Anorexia since May 2010. I also suffer from severe depression, anxiety and some OCD tendencies.
I've been in recovery since September 2010, but I only began taking recovery seriously, and wanting it for myself, in January 2011, once I realised I was wasting my life in hospital.
I went into hospital at the end of October 2010 and left in March 2011. I went to hell and back there.
I am at a healthy weight recommended for my height, but I will not discuss my weight or height because I believe any discussion of numbers leads to a disordered competition, so please do not ask.
I'm trying to lead a healthier lifestyle, whilst inspiring my followers to do the same by choosing recovery.
This is where I will write about my ups and my downs, and I hope to show those of you with eating disorders that recovery doesn't mean "getting fat". It means leading a healthy and happy life with freedom. My posts will mostly consist of personal posts, inspirational photos or quotes, research into the psychology of eating disorders, and also a few items on fitness and nutrition.
My daddy has a page on my blog called "The Gospel According to Dad" which I'm hoping will show you how much your ED affects those around you, and maybe if a parent of an eating disordered child sees my blog, they will see that they're not alone in this experience either.
Think of this as a recovery blog, but if are you triggered by talk of exercise then please read with caution as I sometimes post about my workouts. This is a place that inspires recovery, and also a healthy lifestyle.
I love giving advice, so if you need help with anything, I'm always here for you, even if it's just as a distraction. And you can always contact me by tagging a post with dontwanttobeanorexic.I answer privately if it's unrelated to me/my food posts/my blog. br>

I MADE WHOLEWHEAT BREAD AND IT’S SO DELICIOUS, IT HURTS! Top left: after rising, before cooking. The rest are after baking. Both my mum and I have given positive verdicts! Got this recipe off findingvegan.com - it should be within the first few pages still if you log on now. It is so good! (Taken with Instagram)

High-Protein Veggie Frittata
Wow this looks delicious! :o would you mind sharing the recipe? :) Xx
No problem! But this is side dish - it’s low calorie so defo add another component to your meal (I’ll be adding Quorn chicken :3)
Fry half a zucchini and half a medium carrot, and then add 125g of sliced cooked, new potatoes.
My pan can’t go in the oven so I preheated a metal oven dish in the oven and when ready, greased it and poured the veg into the bottom of that.
Then I whisked 6 egg whites (I guess you could use 2 or 3 eggs instead?) with some grated cheese and seasoning and a splash of water and poured it over the veg. I grated more cheese on top and baked at 200C until bubbling and golden.
My recipe serves anywhere from 1 to 4 people depending if it’s a main or a side dish :-)

happinessfromrecovery asked: hi! could you post the recipe for the protein pancakes with quark? they look delicious! xo
One egg white
One scoop protein powder of your choice
One Müller Light (I used the vanilla with cherry one, but I guess you could sub for 165g of any yogurt)
1T wholewheat flour
Blend all that - it’ll be quite runny - then put tablespoonfuls of the mixture on an oiled pan, over a medium heat, and spread it out so its about 2mm thick. Drop some blueberries into the rounds and cook on both sides.
Serve with quark or ice cream or whatever tickled your fancy :-)
My recipe with the Quark and honey has 37g of protein :) and so yummy!

Mug cake recipe
Hey beautiful girl! What’s your recipe for your mug cakes? I’m going to a Pasty Chef college and I think those in my bakery would be adorbs! I’ve tried a few (yum) but I’d love to know your basic recipe! =]
I’ve had a few questions asking for the recipe, and mine is adapted from CCK’s basic mug cake
recipe.
I don’t use measurements for all my ingredients so it’s difficult to tell you how I made mine, but the basics are:
- 1-2T flour
- 1/2t baking powder
- pinch of salt
- 2t oil
- 2T sugar
Then I add stuff like matcha powder, ground almonds, coffee or cocoa powder in the amounts I like, and possibly add more sugar if I think it needs it.
I then pour water into the mug and stir until it has the consistency of thick but pourale cake batter you’d pour into a baking tray.
I sprinkle the top with brown sugar which makes lovely caramel and then cook on high in the microwave for 2 minutes, but keep an eye on it in case it start rising above the mug and spilling over.
Hope this helps!

I had my first mutha fuckin protein pancakes today, and they were DEELEESHOOS. I adapted a recipe from lifelikefruitsalad - these are banana pancakes, with vanilla yogurt and I ate the rest of the unused banana whilst the pancakes were cooking. This is the best my little pancakes, à la CCK, have come out cooked all the way through. Chuffed!
Recipe:
Blend one egg white (a bit of yolk fell in mine but whatever, lol,) a third of a medium banana (I ate the rest but you could slice the rest on top,) 1T wholewheat flour, 1/2t baking powder, 1/2t vanilla extract, cinnamon to your liking, a splash of milk and then fry tablespoonfuls on a low heat. Then top with yogurt!

A recipe for INDULGENT CHOCOLATEY PEANUT BUTTERY GOODNESS
Ingredients:
- 2 cups Krave cereal
- 1 cups bran flakes
- 1/2 cup crunchy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup runny honey
- 1/4 t. celtic sea salt
- 1 T. vanilla
Method:
- Mix honey, PB and vanilla into a paste, then mix in the cereal.
- Press into a greased pan and refrigerate.
- OM NOM NOM.
I guess you can use any cereal, and add cocoa and choc chips, or have cinnamon and raisin instead of chocolate flavour.

Not been having the greatest week, ED-wise.
I keep bingeing. Booo. I’ve been bingeing for the past three days and I’m just so scared.
Went to Miriam’s birthday shindig yesterday and ate so excessively. I rolled home, like Violet Beauregarde from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and ended up in bed at 9 with a hot water bottle on my swollen belly. I ate far too much and I feel shitty.
But Miriam’s house is lovely and it was wonderful to meet her friends.
For her party I made a choccy brownie cake with biscuits:

And pure peanut-buttery goodness:

Yes, I ate lots before I even took it Miri’s… It’s delicious, and I’ll post a recipe later.
I made this as Miri’s birthday present - a jar mix for choc chip almond cookies :-)

I love you, Mim ♥

makes-no-sense-not-to-live-4-fun asked: could you please post your granola recipe?!
- 150g of rolled oats
- 50g cocoa powder
- 50g of chopped almonds
- 30g of dessicated coconut
- One tablespoon vanilla extract
- Enough runny honey to make it all stick together well (I used about 8 tablespoons)
Basically I made up the recipe as I went along - so these are really approximate numbers.
Mix the oats, cocoa powder, nuts and coconut, then pour in the honey and mix throroughly. Bake at 150C for ~half an hour to 45 minutes and stir every ten minutes to stop it burning.
- 75g dried fruit
- 50g Krave cereal or other add-ins
Wait for the mix to cool and clump together and then stir in your dried fruit and Krave cereal.
This filled about 3/4ths of a litre tub.
Idea inspired Emily’s Rainbow Granola.

I had these for dinner
Kinda disappointing - even when I have it on a low heat, the outside burns and the inside inside isn’t cooked.
The flavour was okay.
